FP-38 – DYNAMIC TRUNK RESTRAINT BELT

It works perfectly during rehabilitation, car travel, doing sports on active wheelchairs and in many other everyday situations. It can be used for temporary stabilization and protection of the user, or for a longer time during travel or walks.

The FP-38 dynamic trunk restraint belt has a slightly flexible design that, in addition to stabilization, provides light resistance during breathing functions, which improves tissue flexibility and strengthens the vitally important respiratory muscles.

To increase user comfort, the aluminum buckles have been covered with a pressure relieving cover and the inside of the belt is lined with anti-migration silicone to prevent slipping. The belt material has no stiff or sharp ends and is fully waterproof, so it is ideal for stabilizing the wearer e.g. in the shower.

The belt fastens with straps and buckles around the backrest or seat, securing the selected body part. Fastening is quick and intuitive.

The belt does an excellent job of stabilizing the trunk allowing for an upright posture and reduces excessive flexion pattern. This, in turn, improves head control and facilitates swallowing and breathing.

This belt is an ideal tool for carers and therapists to position and secure the user in a sitting or lying position. It is available in 4 sizes.

For safety reasons, it is recommended to use the DYNAMIC TRUNK RESTRAINT BELT together with a pelvic belt or thigh abduction belts.

ATTENTION! Whenever a chest support, harness or other trunk support is used, a properly adjusted pelvic support should also be worn to prevent sliding from chair/wheelchair.
